Dallas Law is a Tennessee statute that establishes enhanced training standards for security officers working in environments where alcohol is served. Under Dallas Law, any armed or unarmed security officer working at an alcohol‑licensed location must complete additional training within 15 days of assignment. This training covers four essential areas: de‑escalation, safe restraint techniques, CPR, and First Aid. These skills address the most common challenges in alcohol‑related environments, where impaired judgment, heightened emotions, and unpredictable behavior can quickly escalate into medical or physical emergencies.

For annual renewal, officers must show that they have maintained this training and remain current on all Dallas Law requirements.
