Active Shooter (8hr)

This intensive 8-hour program is designed to prepare security professionals to effectively respond to an active threat situation. Aligned with the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT) standards, the curriculum covers the lifecycle of an active shooter event, including prevention, detection, and immediate response protocols. Key modules include "Avoid, Deny, Defend" strategies, tactical solo-officer movement, and room entry techniques. Participants will engage in hands-on scenario-based drills to practice neutralizing threats while minimizing risk to bystanders. Additionally, the course integrates life-saving medical training, such as tourniquet application and hemorrhage control, to manage injuries until emergency services arrive. Successful completion fulfills the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance requirements for armed guards working in schools or religious institutions and includes the certified transcript for state portal upload.
