Active Shooter Renewal Annual
A focused refresher course that reinforces critical response principles, threat recognition, rapid decisionâmaking, and coordinated action during activeâshooter events. Students review updated best practices, strengthen their situational awareness, and practice clear, decisive communication to improve safety and survivability.
Dallas Law renewal (2 year)
Dallas Law requires any security officer working at a Tennessee establishment that serves alcohol to complete additional training in deâescalation, safe restraint techniques, CPR, and First Aid. This training must be completed within 15 days of assignment and refreshed before renewal to ensure officers can safely manage incidents in alcoholârelated environments.
Enhanced Armed Guard To be Determined
The Enhanced Armed Guard endorsement is required for officers carrying rifles or shotguns on duty. Applicants must have 5 years of fullâtime law enforcement experience or 4 years of activeâduty military service in a combat MOS. This endorsement adds advanced firearms training and higherâlevel decisionâmaking standards for elevatedârisk assignments.
Armed guard renewal (2 Year)
This mandatory 4-hour recertification course is required every two years for Tennessee armed security professionals. The program covers essential legal updates, weapon safety, and advanced marksmanship. Participants must complete a live-fire qualification on an approved silhouette target course, achieving a minimum score of 70%. This course provides the state-required training and qualification transcript needed to maintain your armed registration and legal carry status.
Unarmed renewal (2 Year)
This state-mandated 2-hour refresher course is designed for currently licensed unarmed security professionals in Tennessee. The curriculum provides essential updates on the Use of Force Continuum, de-escalation strategies, and the legal powers and limitations of security personnel. Completion of this course satisfies the training requirements necessary to renew your unarmed registration card for another two-year period, ensuring you remain in full compliance with state law.
