Rifle Training

The NRA Basic Rifle Course is a premier training program designed to take students from novice to confident rifle shooters. The curriculum begins with the NRA’s three fundamental rules for safe gun handling and moves into the mechanical operation of bolt-action, lever-action, pump-action, and semi-automatic rifles. You will learn the components of various rifle types, the technical aspects of ammunition, and how to properly clean and store your firearm. A significant portion of the course is dedicated to marksmanship, focusing on the five fundamentals: aiming, breath control, hold control, trigger control, and follow-through. Students will practice these skills during live-fire range sessions, learning to shoot from the benchrest, prone, sitting, kneeling, and standing positions.
